Where do you hold your Spanish lessons for adults and kids?
Virtually through Zoom due to the current situation, except the Spanish Summer Camp which is held face-to-face in a group session at Palm Valley School. Click on the Summer Camp banner for details.
How many sessions per month for adults?
4 or 5 according to calendar month (1 weekly session)
How long could a session be?
90 min. or 120 min.
What's the schedule?
Appointments are available Monday through Friday, starting at 8:30 am. The last appointment is at 3:30 pm. First come, first served basis!
Do your courses go by semester, school year, or ongoing?
Ongoing. Minimum length: 6 months. Conversational Spanish is the core of our curriculum. The program is designed with your proficiency in mind. You master the language at your own pace with the support of a certified Spanish teacher.
Do you provide semi-private lessons for two adult students?
No, for academic and logistic reasons. Academic: two students have different levels of Spanish. We suggest that married couples, family members, or friends take the lessons separately. This way, teachers can focus on their individual needs. Logistic: schedule conflicts, unforeseen events, sickness, etc.
Do you have semi-private or group lessons for adults?
No, only private lessons for individuals.
What is Kiddos Lingua?
Kiddos Lingua is our after school program to teach Spanish for elementary school kids. Space is limited to 35 children in the Coachella Valley. First come, first served!
Where is Kiddos Lingua located?
At James Monroe Elementary School (42-100 Yucca Ln, Bermuda Dunes, CA 92203).
Can I enroll my child(ren) at Kiddos Lingua: after school program?
Yes. All elementary school children in the Coachella Valley are welcome to participate in the program. Kids who attend elementary schools at Desert Sands Unified School District have priority starting from James Monroe Elementary.
Do you offer discounts for siblings?
Since our program is self-funding by the tuition, we are unable to offer any discount.
My child is home-schooled, can he/she attend Kiddos Lingua?
Home-schooled children are highly encouraged to sign up. For instance, we have kids from Inspire Charter School, iLEAD, and Sage Oaks Charter Schools.

Yes, at the beginning of the after school program before the actual Spanish class.
Is this a public or private institution?
This is a private language school owned and operated in La Quinta, California. Founded in 2013. The academy is registered as a Consulting business with the city of La Quinta. Business license #: 765692. Also, registered with the Riverside County Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder office. Fictitious name: Cruz Language Academy.
Are your professors certified and qualified to teach Spanish as a Second Language?
Yes. They hold Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Spanish as well as teaching credentials from accredited universities in the U.S., Spain, and Latin America. They are highly qualified, experienced, and effective teachers who have been working for public and private schools for more than 20 years.
Do your teachers join any professional organizations?
Yes. They are active members of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL).
When do your language courses start?
Our language courses start at any time for adults who prefer one-on-one lessons from September to June. For the Kiddos Lingua: After School Program, we follow the Desert Sands Unified School District's calendar: late August through mid-June.
